Introducing the Classic Chess Collection in Ember Forge finish.
Each of these 32 ceramic figures is individually poured and refined by hand. The pieces undergo two kiln firings - they are first bisque fired, then carefully glazed, and finally returned to the kiln for one last firing. The foot of each piece is lined with 95% wool baize to protect the board and enhance touch during play.
Chess board is not included, but available for purchase separately. Photos shown with 17.25” Classic Chess Board.
Subtle variations in glaze, texture, weight, or form are a reminder that each chess piece is made by hand (and not a machine!)
