Introducing the Midknight Royal Chess Collection in Iron Ore finish.
Each of these 32 ceramic figures is individually poured and refined by hand. The pieces undergo two kiln firings - they are first bisque fired, then carefully glazed, and finally returned to the kiln for one last firing. The foot of each piece is lined with 95% wool baize to protect the board and enhance touch during play.
These extra-large chess pieces require a a board with 2.5” squares. The King boasts a height of 4.25” and a broad shoulder width of 2”. The pawns measure 3.25” high. Chess board is not included, but available for purchase separately. Chess board pictured is 24” Maple & Ebony.
Subtle variations in glaze, texture, weight, or form are a reminder that each chess piece is made by hand (and not a machine!)
